Welcome to LodgingGuide's hospitality industry listings for the London area.
Encompassing over 600 square miles of land,
Metropolitan London is an enormous city
with numerous lodging options. This handy guide should be a good starting point for
finding just the right place to stay.
As birthplace of the Beatles, Liverpool provides a magnetic backdrop for a multitude of attractions related to entertainment, cultural heritage, and maritime history. The Albert Dock is home to the Merseyside Maritime Museum, and the famed Mersey Ferry provides views of the waterfront and Three Graces -- the Royal Liver Building, the Cunard Building, and the Port of Liverpool Building. Attractions include the Spaceport attraction, the World Museum Liverpool and Walker Art Gallery, the Tate Liverpool, and Museum of Liverpool Life, and the Beatles Story, with 18 settings including a yellow submarine. Liverpool shopping includes the Met Quarter, home to MAC’s only store outside London.
Ethnic diversity has brought varied dining and nightlife choices for most budgets including an abundance of Chinese eateries. Outside town, attractions include the Knowsley Safari Park and the National Wildflower Centre. Croxteth Hall and Speke Hall boast stunning architecture and well-tended gardens, and Wirral Country Park also provides great outdoor escape. Liverpool has been named the European Capital of Culture in 2008, in recognition of its cultural heritage, and assorted events and festivals are on tap including the Liverpool Biennial Festival. Liverpool and Merseyside offer a wide range of hotels and accommodations to suit most budgets.
